Chef Jim Löfdahl, who was previously the Executive Chef at award-winning Frantzén’s Kitchen from 2016 to 2021, began his culinary journey in Stockholm, Sweden, at culinary school in 1999. He honed his skills in prestigious kitchens, eventually working under Chef Björn Frantzén, where he played a pivotal role in earning two Michelin Stars for Frantzén/Lindeberg. In 2016, a three-month pop-up at Palazzo Versace in Dubai proved an international success, and Löfdahl was then tasked with opening the Frantzén Group’s first overseas restaurant, Frantzén’s Kitchen, in Hong Kong that November. His experiences culminated in his decision to establish Embla in Hong Kong in 2022—an embodiment of his personal culinary vision and values.
